Pornhub just released it’s Year In Review 2022.
In its 9th year, they bring you 2022’s hottest trends, terms, searches and a recap of everything that happened throughout the year.
You’ll find plenty of colorful infographics filled with data compiled by Pornhub’s statisticians throughout the year. As always, they provide a little commentary while breaking down primary trends on the site and detail porn viewership around the world.
A fan favorite in the US is the Top Searches by State. I’ve seen A LOT of folks chiming in on Twitter posting fun & sarcastic commentary and jokes about their home state’s taste in porn.
Top searches are almost always influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events and this year is no different.
Reality porn topped the trends in 2022 as the category grew by +169% to become one of the Top 20 categories, while popularity of the Amateur category has dropped slightly.
As a 30+ years OG FemDom, or Female Dominant, it’s not surprising to me to see ‘FemDom’ atop the The Searches That Defined 2022 list.
I’ve watched the embracement of female domination grow over the decades in the lifestyle kink community. It’s a natural progression that it would have an osmosis into societal trends and capitalism.
Other fan favorites include Most Popular Performers and Most Viewed Amateur Models.

Between them, the Top 5 pornstars have more than 7.1 billion all-time video views!
Pornstars that had big gains in 2022 include Emiliy Willis, and Violet Myers whose rank increased by +13 to join our Top 10. Searches for Lasirena69 gained +19 in rank, Rae Lil Black by +12 and Sky Bri by +14.”
